Let Your Baby Defecate the Sidewalk Again, OK?

Photo by Charles Deluvio on Unsplash

I see at least one adorable one a day. And it doesn’t matter how cute they are, I have not broken down and bought one. Its because I don’t want the responsibility of caring for it. I don’t want to be woken up out of my sleep to get a snack or grab a bag and follow you out when its time to go to the bathroom.

So if I see this as being a responsible dog owner, how come it seems so many dog owners don’t? Would you allow your toddler to defecate the sidewalk? If you ever let your dog do that, then yes you would because you currently are and you trifling for it. Yup, said it. If you can afford that high tech stroller you bought to push the dog around in, that sweater, boots or costume, surely you can buy, or just save a grocery bag and use it after your dog’s business. It doesn’t take or cost much, I promise you.

So take this as harsh as you want. Because the ones with the dogs will be the first one wondering why there is a rodent problem in the community. Newsflash, you and your fur ball brought them. And there are quite a few things worse than walking out the door and take a deep breath only to inhale the pungency of poop, but who wants that either?

All I’m saying is if you not the one on the lease at least do right by the one who is. But you probably won’t care until its you who stepped in poop and almost tracked it back to your house. Do better please.
