Why is ocean water salty?

Did you know it’s the rocks on land that make the ocean water salty?

Apparently when rain hits the rocks on land it so acidic it can dissolve them, carrying ions into the ocean by way of rivers and streams.

Like humans are 60% water, earth is 71%. The intricacies of the body are profound and dr.’s are stunned daily by the miracles and feats the human body can survive through. On land we are amazed by the beauty that mountains and other landmarks and historical references possess. And underwater appears to render the same aesthetic. Oceanographers have discovered high mountains and deep lands underwater, just as glorious as they are on land.

But the ocean can carry you places your feet can not walk you to. There’s no way to ride a Great White shark or surf on land but the options are limitless in the ocean. And after serving almost all of his 50-year-sentence, he is now free to see the ocean.

He cried just as hard at his mother’s grave as he did the day the court found him guilty. She passed the August before he was released this November and her grave was his first stop upon being set free. After spending 43 years in prison and being exonerated November 23, 2021, he has served the longest sentence in a wrongfully convicted case.

Kevin Strickland, now wheel-chair bound, was 18 at his second trial when the all-white jury in Kansas City, Missouri convicted him of murdering three others. The sole survivor and only witness in the case died in 2015, spending 30 years recanting her story that he was the killer while working with political and legal experts to prove he was actually innocent. The two men responsible for pulling the triggers plead guilty after Mr. Strickland’s conviction and received 20 years each with both only service 10 a piece.

When asked by a CNN correspondent to describe his emotions and if he was angry, he bypassed that emotion and settled on being paranoid and frustrated. Because he would hate for a crime to be committed anywhere he is present and people automatically accuse him because of his past. And…
